Splash Pages---------------------
Splash 1.0
Debut: Spring, 2000. My very first Flash project. It took me 6 or 7 hours to make this very short title animation, which later would have taken me 2 minutes using Swish.
Splash 2.0
Debut: October, 2001. I wanted a stylish splash page that more closely matched the colors and theming of my main page. I also experimented by using a floating box Flash title. Created with Fireworks, Flash, and Dreamweaver.

Splash 3.0 (Current)
Debut: November, 2001. My Flash movie intro. I designed the movie in my head and on paper before sitting at the computer to create it. I picked "Calcutta" by Lawrence Welk as the music after being reminded of its existence in a line at Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights.

The Ocarina Version 2.0 and 2.1
Debut: May, 2000. My first non-'AOL prefab' website. Made with Frontpage Express. Version 2.1 came out September, 2000. Updated slightly with cool title gifs my brother made for me, some different artwork, and buttons that spin when rolled over.

Mark Kozelek of Red House Painters
Version 3.0
Debut: May, 2001. Made using my new love: Macromedia Fireworks. I wanted something circular in my site to represent continuity and the relationship between all things. I had the idea to put buttons along the periphery of the circle, and the rollover/changing center text idea came soon after. I also added a Guestbook to the mix.

Featured Feline
Version 4.0 and 4.1
Debut: November, 2001. I changed the fonts and colors for a new look and to match my splash movie intro. Version 4.1 is simpler with some subtle changes.

Guestbook!
Version 5.0
Debut: June, 2002. I loved this picture and wanted to see if I could incorporate it somehow. I kept the circle and added some subtle 3D effects. It took a while to change the center-circle rollovers to match the background, but it turned out nicely. About that time, my exact feelings about life were found in the lyrics of a song covered by Mark Kozelek called "Around and Around," originally by John Denver. So the song lyrics were listed at the right of the page. A very ethereal beautiful page, which I quite enjoyed.

Version 6.0 (Current)
Debut: November, 2003. Back to the basics. No Fireworks, no fancy rollovers, just as much content as I can muster. Made with Adobe GoLive. I'd been playing with this design for a while and finally decided to go for it. I was hoping to simplify the site a bit, make it easier to navigate, and make it a more uniform design throughout.
