About
me:
I'm 32 and live in Cary, North Carolina (just west of Raleigh).
Why Krismus, you ask? Because my name is Kristen Musgrave.
I grew up in Fort Lauderdale and went to school in Gainesville,
Florida, and I spent a year in Baltimore before finally
settling here. :) |
Schoolin': I graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry in 1998. I also graduated from the Univ. of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2003, and I am currently practicing as associate veterinarian at an animal hospital in Cary. |
Interests:
I'm interested in various things including music, thrill
rides, martial arts, web design, guitar, painting, movies,
being silly, making dumb jokes, daytripping, urban exploration,
learning Japanese, color guard & marching band..... |
Martial
Arts:
I had been training in at Heyman's Martial Arts Center
in Gainesville (Renshinkan Shorenji-Ryu and Ju-Jitzu.)
I also trained in Cuong Nhu at the Unified Training Center,
also in Gainesville. I highly recommend both styles/dojos.
I
plan to at some point restart attending Cuong Nhu in Raleigh.

Color
Guard:
I performed 3 years at Fort Lauderdale High School, 3
years at Univ. of Florida (my last performance was the
winning national championship title in 1996)
I
was also the Color Guard Instructor/Choreographer at Trenton
High School for three years from 2000-2002. In 2001, the
Trenton Guard received a rating of "Superior"
at both marching band competitions they attended. They
also recieved (and overwhelmingly deserved) a Superior
at FBA in 2002. I miss them dearly.
Now I'm a member of the 2008 comeback season of the Carolina
Gold Senior Drum and Bugle Corps. It has been so much
fun, truly a dream come true, and I plan on coming back
every year as long as I am physically able! Check out
the website www.carolinagold.org.

Pets:
I have 2 cats, Jake and Timber, and a Shih Tzu named Mimzy.
She is the sweetest gentlest girl ever and I feel forever
grateful to be so lucky to be her "forever mom.".
The was one of the last dogs to be adopted out after the
Hillsville puppy mill rescue in Nov of 2007. Nine hundred
eighty dogs (yes, thats 980), including Mimzy, were rescued
from the facility. Please visit http://www.stoppuppymills.org/
to learn more about puppy mills and how we can stop them!
